The Finance Department is responsible for providing accounting, investment and financial management services for the District. Services include receipting and disbursement of District financial resources, payroll, monitoring investments, recording of all financial activity, support to District departments and staff in areas of finances and information technology planning and implementation. Preparation of the annual budget, under the direction of the General Manager and preparation of the year end financial statements for the District.
Investment Management
The Board of Directors has granted authority to manage District investments within the scope of the District's Investment Policy to the Director of Administrative Services. No person may engage in an investment transaction with the District except as provided under the terms of this policy and the procedures established by the Director of Administrative Services. All participants in the investment process shall seek to act responsibly as custodians of the public trust.
